Structures

Facilities Engineering offers pre-engineered, free standing bridge crane support structures. These self-supporting structures can be used with top running or under hung bridge cranes. Standardized design reduces cost while maintaining the highest levels of effectiveness, safety, and productivity.

"Lollipop" (unbraced shown above on right) or "hair pin" (shown above in center) column designs can be used depending on your needs. Smaller capacity systems can be direct bolted to a suitable concrete slab. Larger systems may require footings.

All designs are engineered to meet CMAA specifications and seismic zone 4 requirements. Calculations and stamped plans are available for permits. Structures come painted and ready to install with all assembly hardware.
